Japanese lessons on Skype make learning Japanese much more accessible than ever before. We all have busy schedules and it can be difficult to commit to being in a certain place at a certain time every week. With Japanese Skype lessons all you need is an internet enabled device (computer, laptop, tablet or even a smartphone) and you can learn Japanese wherever and whenever is convenient for you.
When is learning Japanese convenient for you? Most Japanese schools have a set schedule which you need to follow. Furthermore, most Japanese tutors need to factor in travel time and may not be available when it best suits you. Our Japanese skype classes are flexible and can generally accommodate the times that best suit you rather than what best suits the school or teacher. Even if your most suitable times change each week it is not a problem as there is no set class time or location.
As long as you have an internet connection you can be anywhere in the world and still have a lesson. That means you could even have a lesson during your trip to Japan. If you are travelling for work you could brush up on your culture skills just before a big meeting. If you are in Japan for travel you can practice asking for directions before heading out on a day trip.
Feeling comfortable when you learn Japanese is extremely important. It can be very daunting to practice your Japanese in front of other people. With Skype lessons, you can create your perfect learning environment. Feel free to sit on your couch, relax by the pool and wear whatever you like want – Izumi won’t mind! Melbourne students can try both in-person and skype lessons and see which you prefer. Or you could swap between the two depending on your schedule.
Tailored to you, lessons are prepared with your desired learning outcomes in mind and using real world examples that are interesting and relevant to individual students. No two Japanese students are the same and as a result, no two lessons are the same. Izumi will take care to understand individual students and deliver the best possible lessons based on:
Conducting lessons over skype means that students will enjoy the benefits of digital teaching materials both during and after classes. No longer do you need a filing cabinet just to store all of the handouts and scribbled notes during class. Izumi will prepare all of the teaching materials you need for your upcoming lesson in advance and send them via email. These files are easy to store and organise and can be kept on your computer or mobile device. Typical digital learning materials include:
You can even record your online lessons to replay and review later!
Lesson content is the same as in-person tutoring but will have more of a classroom setting with a whiteboard being used to help explain key information. Think of it like a virtual classroom.
Izumi will be in touch in advance and send any necessary materials for class so that you can prepare. You will need to download Skype for free and follow the steps to setup Skype for both video and audio.
Depending upon your level, Izumi will use either familiar Japanese or English to explain the lesson contents. From there she will use practical examples of where lesson content will be useful to students. Finally, she will run through some exercises to practice and consolidate knowledge.
Once the lesson is complete, Izumi will send any follow-up materials, plus everything you need to prepare for the next class. Remember, what you do outside of class is just as important as in class.
For Japanese students that have busy and irregular schedules, Japanese lessons on Skype are a fantastic option. All you need is an internet connection, a computer with Skype and you can enjoy Izumi’s Japanese lessons from anywhere in Australia.
